Line Of Sight - RMMZ (No Plugin)

This build was designed to go hand-in-hand with the tutorial video below. We take the Line of Sight program and further it for the end-user. In doing so, this allows future-proofing for when we, the end-user, needs to reuse the LoS code without stress on what's needed to make it work.

Disclaimer: Because this is originally a tutorial video for those interested in taking the next steps with the RPG Maker engine, it does have limitations as a "final product." Here's what I mean:

• Currently limited to Circular (A), Quadratic (B), and Line (C) sight auras as displayed in screenshots,
• Does not have direction-facing restricted code,
• Takes up several Common Events, Variables, and Switch(es),
•  Limits to 10 Line of Sight Goons per map, and
• Will not be further developed to expand on above limitations outside of bugs

What's the point then? The point of this tutorial is to change how we think when it comes to developing. Stop creating code for a game, but for an end-user. This will:

1.  Create a more efficient future for us and any development partnership/team;
2.  Allows the code to be easily transferred between projects;
3.  Become closer with the true capabilities of the RM engine outside of the "no coding skills required" by
   1. Learning class structures,
   2. Understanding 2D Arrays,
   3. Understanding iterations; and
4. Enhancing our skills as computer scientists in the case of learning different engines, languages, etc.

How to download

Once the project has been extracted and opened, find the common events, variables, and switch being used to make the program work. Go into the 'Start' to find the 2D array being initialized. Follow along with the tutorial video.

To install into your game project, copy the common events into your game. Note the variables and switch that the engine uses. Also note how "LineOfSightMaster" calls on other common events. This may need to be edited as required.
